All about the Prophecy Conference

16th February 2017 by Bernice Hopper

All about the Prophecy Conference

We recently held our very first prophecy conference – Presence of God. We had an amazing time together and have heard several stories of changed lives.

Friday evening

The conference kicked off on Friday evening with a talk by Rob on the making a priority of the presence of God and it being a distinctive feature of our lives. At the end Rob asked those who wanted this to be their distinctive to come forward and just about everyone responded.

Saturday

Our response had a knock-on effect the next morning as we began to worship God. Part way through the worship time we had a power cut. We had no lighting, heating, projected words or amplification. But it didn’t matter! Phil Wilthew prophesied over us about not relying on anything else other than the presence of God. We continued to worship God until the power finally came back on 15 minutes later!

Prophecy Conference

In the first session Phil spoke to us about how to deal with disappointment. He encouraged us to believe again for the big dreams that God had given us.

The rest of the morning was spent in seminars. Attendees could choose from Adrian Horner on Starting in the Prophetic, Andy Martin explaining about Prophesying into Other Cultures and Mark Mitchell talking about Encountering God in the Workplace.

Prophecy Conference

During the afternoon Rob spoke about journeying into the presence of God. Then he talked us through this journey in a practical way, helping us to understand what it means to ‘press into God’. For me this was such a revelation. For all my Christian life I have heard people exhort me to press into God and have had no idea how to do that.

In the evening Phil followed on from his talk about disappointment and how to turn wildernesses into living springs. He talked about finding God in the difficult times. People reported finding healing, encouragement and a fresh hope from this session.

We are so grateful to Phil and his team from King’s Arms Bedford for their teaching, ministry and support for the conference. A big thank you also to those who served in any capacity during the conference. And thanks to Rob for the vision to put on the conference and a big thank you to Ruth who made it happen.

Audio copies of the talks can be purchased from the church office at a cost of £5 for the series. Please email for details. ruth@jubileesolihull.org
