I’m in the second year of the Catalyst Leadership and Theology training course and it has been a deeply enriching experience. I recommend it to anyone seeking to grow in their calling to serve the church. It has been an amazing 2 years of learning which has challenged and stretched my character, knowledge and leadership gifting.
Each month, we gather for two days (Friday and Saturday) from September through to June. There’s teaching, discussion, reflection, and plenty of challenge. If you want to, you can work toward an academic qualification, which involves three assignments a year—but even without that, the learning is deep and practical.
A worthwhile time
Personally, I’ve juggled work using a mix of annual leave and TOIL to make it work – and it’s been worth every minute. I’ve come away from each session more equipped, more encouraged, and more aware of how theology connects with everyday life and leadership.
If you’re serving in church in any capacity – or even just sensing that nudge toward leadership—I can’t recommend it enough. It’s not just a course; it’s a journey that will leave a lasting mark on your life and ministry.
