Equipped for Life: Jubilee Bible School

27th October 2016 by Simon Clay

Equipped for Life: Jubilee Bible School

‘The unfolding of Your words gives light’   (Psalm 119:130 NASB)

Experiencing the Power of God’s Word

Central to the purpose of the church is the equipping of believers to be effective disciples, or followers, of Jesus. At Jubilee we want to take this seriously and provide a whole range of ways for people to be equipped to fulfil the great commission. Our intention is to be a resource centre that provides training, mentoring and development for individuals and churches. Over the next few years we anticipate that we will provide many different opportunities for training and equipping people.

Jubilee Bible School

Friday 11th November sees the launch of our first ‘Equipping’ programme. ‘Jubilee Bible School: Experiencing the power of God’s Word’ has grown out of a conviction that there is a need for the richness of the truth of God’s Word to fill us and permeate every area of our lives. For this to happen we need to know His Word and experience the power of His Holy Spirit in applying it to our lives.

Jubilee Bible School will be an opportunity to consider some of the basic doctrines of the Christian faith alongside other people.

Who is the Bible School for?

It is a course aimed at anyone who wants to explore the riches of the Bible. It will be beneficial for new believers, people who have never had the opportunity to study basic theology, and people who want to refresh their understanding of their faith. You do not have to be a member of Jubilee Church to attend our Bible School.

Through a mixture of teaching, application and opportunity for discussion we will together experience the power of God’s Word as the Holy Spirit helps us to apply the truth to our lives. We want to increasingly grow to look like our Father, and knowing His Word is an essential element in this happening.

How is the course organised?

The course will take place on 11 Friday evening sessions. These will be spread over 2 years.   The sessions will cover key themes such as Old and New Testament Overviews, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, to name but a few. It will take place at Jago House, Solihull.

Try it out

On Friday 11th November, from 7:15pm-9:45pm we are running a free introductory session called ‘The Bible: God’s Word’. This is an opportunity to sample what future course sessions will be like. Covering themes such as the authority of Scripture, how we got the Bible, and how and why we read the Bible we hope that the evening will be inspiring and useful for everyday life for any disciple of Jesus.

What do I need to do to attend the introductory session?

The only thing you need to do is let us know that you’d like to attend by filling in this Bible School registration link and enter your details.

We would love to see you at the session and begin to explore God’s Word together.
