Ministry Schools return
During Autumn 2021 we trialled Ministry Schools instead of Lifegroups. We were thrilled with how successful these were. This Autumn Term, Ministry Schools are back with some new ones added.
Bible School: Strengths for Life’s Seasons
The five Old Testament books of Song of Songs, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes and Esther form what is known as ‘the Scrolls’. Between them they express a whole range of emotions and responses to the circumstances of life. Each of them came to be read annually by Jews at their festivals as a regular reminder of truths they could hold onto as they navigated the year ahead. In this Bible School we will explore the varied style and content of these brief and intriguing books and see what significance they have for each of us.
Creativity and …
Genesis 1 is a record of God being creative. He spoke and the world came into being. He spoke and created us in His image. This means we are creative too. But how often do we fail to recognise the opportunities God gives us to be creative like Him. Being creative is not just for artists with paint brushes and a canvas. Creativity is so much more than this. We are all creative, whether it is expressed through cooking, hospitality, gardening, music, photography, words, ideas, problem solving….. we could go on….. Through six sessions on identity, observation, imagination, spiritual gifts, vision and purpose, you will be encouraged to find how you can connect your creative expression and gifting effectively for the Kingdom.
Daytime Life Group
DLG is a continuation of the daily Connect & Pray which started in the first covid lockdown of 2020. We ‘meet’ on zoom each week and also get together for fellowship and food each month / six weeks. As we’re on zoom it’s easy to stay for as long as you’re able but we definitely sign off after the hour. It’s a time to reflect on the Sunday message, to share our concerns, to celebrate Gods goodness and to PRAY!
Disciple Makers Training School
Like a parent frantically looking for a lost child, our Heavenly Father is longing for his lost children to return home. He’s asking us to join him in the hunt for them. Jesus told his followers to pray earnestly for workers to enter the harvest field. But are we willing? Are we trained? Join us to learn how to become a follower of Jesus who naturally multiply and sees those around them do the same.
Healing School
There have been several prophetic words for Jubilee about a pool of healing and that we are to expect to see miracles of healing. This course unpacks some of what we have been learning and gives practical advise on how to pray for the sick. Come ready to learn and also to put what we learn into practise.
Keys to Health, Wholeness and Fruitfulness
Produced by the Freedom in Christ ministries team. Bringing together truth from the Bible and wisdom from the medical world, Keys To Health, Wholeness & Fruitfulness will equip you to be a healthy, whole disciple of Jesus whose life really counts. More information is available on their website: https://www.ficm.org.uk/keys
Prayer School
Prayer School is an opportunity to journey together through Pete Greig’s powerful, personal and honest book ‘Dirty Glory: Go where your best prayers take you’. The school will take the form of a small group discussion to help us reflect and to share. Our heart is that our time together will stir us into a deeper encounter with God; challenge us to dare to speak out loud some of the kingdom dreams God has been planting in our hearts; and to equip us to live out our own journey of radical discipleship.
Work Matters
Our work really matters. It matters to those we work for, those we work with, and it matters to God. He places us in work to honour him and to grow his Kingdom while we invest our time for the good of our workplace. In this group we will explore our call to work and provide practical support to embracing God’s plans in our workplaces. Come ready to share your experiences and full of faith for what God can do where he has placed you.
Living in Abundance in Difficult Times
Based on Paul Plagerson’s book, ‘If God is so good, why do I always seem to be broke?’ God has given each of us the opportunity to live a life which is abundant in every way, regardless of the current economic climate. He takes no delight in a poverty-stricken church. How do we live in abundance in a way that both honours God and blesses the world? The purpose of this course is to answer that question.
What an abundance of themes we have on offer this term.
