Children’s Storehouse
Who are we and what do we do?
The Children’s Storehouse is run by Jubilee Church Solihull to serve Solihull and its neighbouring communities. It was set up around four years ago and our aim is to show compassion by providing free, good quality pre-loved clothing, bedding and towels, toys and toiletries for babies, children and young people up to the age of 18. Families who access the Storehouse may be experiencing financial hardship, be victims of domestic abuse or are asylum seekers or refugees. These families would be referred to us through a registered referral agency.
Clothed with Dignity
Our strapline is ‘clothed with dignity’ because it is important to us that families who are already going through a hard time are treated with dignity and respect. We are so incredibly thankful to Solihull Council who recently gave us a significant grant which has enabled us to buy warm winter clothing for children aged from around 2 to 18 years. We love that we have been able to buy brand new coats, trainers, hats and gloves and other essential items. What an incredible difference it makes to families to have good quality winter clothing. It was so moving to hear recently from one mum how she broke down in years when she was offered new shoes for her children because she couldn’t remember the last time she was able to buy them.
Please watch the video to see how God has blessed us and how because of this favour, we as a church can serve the needs of those in our community so generously.
Schools
We are really keen to partner with primary schools in our local community. If you work in a school and would like to find out more about who we are and how we can help, please do get in touch on admin.storehouse@jubileesolihull.org
